A couple days ago, I was talking about the history of the mighty Mughal Empire of northern India, which was the first faction in India that allowed Islam and Hinduism to coexist peacefully (this was done under the rule of Akbar the Great). Here is one of its standing legacies…

The Renaissance was a movement in Western Europe that started in northern Italy in the late 1400’s and proceeded through the 1500’s. It was a movement of art, political change, and for the general progression of mankind as a whole unit.
The Bohemian movement began in Paris in the 1870’s and featured mostly people interested in instant self gratification and selfish pleasure. This movement is largely considered ended with the French declaration of war against the German Empire in 1914 when most of the Bohemians found themselves hated by their fellow Frenchmen. The spirit of the Bohemians would later be revisited by the self-righteous Hippie movement in Britain and the United States in the late 1960’s and later again by the Hipster movement of the late 90’s and present day.
Do yourself a favour. Be a product of the renaissance, not Bohemia.
